What we know about you.
Nothing that names you.
There is no account. We never ask for your name, e-mail or anything from your phone beyond what the app needs to work.
On your phone
Your five records, the hour you chose, and what you told the app about a record (more like this, less like this) stay on the device. They are never uploaded.
On our server
To send the daily push we keep your device push token, the hour you picked, your time zone and which version of the record pool your app has. That is the whole record. Delete the app and the token dies at the next failed delivery; we wipe the row within 30 days.
Apple Music
Playback goes through Apple Music on your phone. Apple's own privacy policy applies to what you play there. We do not see your listening history on their side.
No analytics, no ads
We do not run analytics, tracking or advertising SDKs. We do not sell or share anything, because there is nothing to sell.
Feedback
If you send feedback from settings, your text goes to Luno, a service we build and run ourselves. With it go your e-mail address if you chose to fill it in, the app version and build, the iOS version, the device model, your language setting, your text size, and which record you were looking at. To sort the feedback, the text is processed by an external AI service in the EU. All of it stays in the EU. Nothing else, and no account.
Who we are
Album of the Day is made by Sitting on a Cornflake CommV, a company registered in Ghent, Belgium, company number 0479.620.359. We are the controller for the little data described above.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold, ask us to delete it, or file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority. Because there is no account, deleting the app is enough: the token dies at the next failed delivery and the row is wiped within 30 days. Write to hello@albumoftheday.app.
